WHAT: Family Health Centers Inc. will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new pharmacy and immediate care center in the Hazelwood Shopping Center. Since November 2023, six national chain pharmacy locations have closed in Louisville, many in lower-income neighborhoods, and further pharmacy closures are planned across the nation. Family Health Centers locations are in underserved areas of Louisville-Jefferson County, and the Family Health Centers’ Pharmacy will help to fill the need in Louisville’s southside, considering recent pharmacy closures.
