V-Soft Cares’ 11th Annual Charity Golf Scramble Raises More Than $101,500 for Family Health Centers

News | Press Release

Louisville, Ky. – September 9, 2025 — Community leaders, sponsors, and golf enthusiasts gathered today at Persimmon Ridge Golf Course for the 11th Annual V-Soft Cares Charity Golf Scramble, raising more than $101,500 to support Family Health Centers, Inc. and its mission to expand access to affordable health care in Louisville’s medically underserved communities.

This year’s proceeds will benefit Family Health Centers’ Capital Campaign to build a new facility in Louisville’s South End. The planned health center will more than double the size of the current clinic, expanding exam rooms from four to eight and adding a pharmacy, as well as increasing capacity for follow-up and primary care for both adults and children—regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

Founded in 2013, the V-Soft Cares Charity Golf Scramble has become a signature event for the philanthropic arm of V-Soft Consulting. Entirely planned and staffed by V-Soft volunteers, the tournament has raised more than $350,000 over the past decade to support causes ranging from autism awareness and pediatric health to cancer research and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. “V-Soft Cares is our way to give back to the community that we live and work in a meaningful way,” said Purna Veer, co-founder and President of V-Soft Consulting. “This golf scramble is the culmination of a years’ worth of effort that represents the heart of our organization.”

“We are grateful for V-Soft Cares’ generous gift. It is helping make our vision a reality,” said Dr. Bart Irwin, CEO of Family Health Centers. “The support of partners like V-Soft is critical to our Capital Campaign. This investment will expand access to quality healthcare for thousands of families who deserve care close to home.”

“We are proud to support this year’s golf scramble benefiting Family Health Centers,” said Dr. Radhika Veer, co-founder and CEO of V-Soft Consulting and a physician with Family Health Centers for 24 years. “Having worked directly with patients, I’ve seen firsthand how vital access to affordable health care is for families. This partnership ensures that more people in our community can get the care they need.”  Now in its 11th year, the V-Soft Cares Charity Golf Scramble continues to build on a tradition of turning community support into meaningful impact.
