About

We have come a long way in treating and preventing HIV & AIDS. If you are HIV positive, you can live a healthy life with regular care. If you want to prevent HIV, there are options for you. At the Family Health Centers Promise Program – we promise that with regular care and attention you can have a healthy future.

The Promise Program provides HIV – PrEP Navigators who will help you stay on track with your care and stay healthy. The Navigators can help you connect with a FHC PrEP Provider or to HIV Care, help you with resources to help pay for your medications and get you into health insurance if needed.

We’re here to help.

HIV Prevention

PrEP is a once a day pill or a monthly shot that can help prevent HIV. If you do not have HIV, taking PrEP daily can be 99% effective in preventing HIV through sex.

Family Health Centers Promise Program PrEP Navigators and Providers can help you get PrEP no matter your insurance status or financial situation. We are respectful and discreet. Talk to a FHC PrEP provider to understand your options to stay HIV free.

HIV Treatment

Testing positive for HIV can feel overwhelming and scary. At Family Health Centers we created the Promise Program to help anyone with HIV to navigate care and live a healthy, long life.

HIV Testing

Knowing your HIV status is an important part of staying healthy. At Family Health Centers testing is offered as part of routine care at our health centers and through our Promise Program.

HIV testing at Family Health Centers is:

  • Simple and quick
  • Confidential and judgment-free

No matter your result, you are not alone. The Promise Program provides:

  • Access to support, prevention, or treatment services
  • Help accessing medications and insurance
  • Ongoing care to help you live a long, healthy life

Ask your provider to add an HIV test to other routine labs you may be getting, like cholesterol and blood sugar. HIV testing is recommended for everyone at least once in their lifetime starting at age 13, with additional testing based on individual risk and life circumstances.

Knowing you HIV status protects the people you care about most.
