In 1976, Family Health Centers was founded during a time of national change—when communities across the country were demanding access to affordable, high-quality health care close to home. What began as a single safety-net clinic has grown into Louisville’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center, serving tens of thousands of individuals and families each year.
For 50 years, Family Health Centers has remained rooted in a simple belief: everyone deserves care—regardless of income, insurance status, language, or circumstance.
Today, we continue that mission by providing comprehensive medical, dental, behavioral health, and supportive services across multiple Louisville neighborhoods—meeting patients where they are and partnering with them on their path to health.
