COVID-19 Testing at Family Health Centers

Family Health Centers provides COVID-19 testing to the community through visits with our medical providers. If you are having COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19 you should schedule an appointment with a medical provider.

Free COVID-19 Home Test Kits

Home COVID-19 Test Kits are a reliable way to test for COVID-19 without having to see a provider.

Take an at-⁠home test:

If you begin having COVID-⁠19 symptoms like fever, sore throat, runny nose, or loss of taste or smell, or
At least 5 days after you come into close contact with someone with COVID-⁠19, or
When you’re going to gather with a group of people, especially those who are at risk of severe disease or may not be up to date on their COVID-⁠19 vaccines.

If you have private health insurance, your insurance will cover up to eight at home tests kits per month. Call the Member Services number on your health insurance card to learn more.

Every home in the U.S. can receive up to two sets of free at-home test kits.

Affordable COVID-19 Tests

As of March 22, 2022 most insurances, will cover COVID-19 Tests only when they are ordered by a provider for medical reasons. For individuals who are uninsured, our sliding-fee-scale discounts for visits and labs will help to make your visit and test affordable.

If you are not sick and have not been exposed to COVID-19, but need a screening test for work, travel, or an event, your health insurance will not cover the cost of a visit or test. If you qualify for our sliding-fee-scale discounts, your visit and tests will be discounted based on your income and household size.
