Family Health Centers is seeking Outreach & Enrollment Assistors to help individuals and families to assist them in applying for and retaining consumer assistance benefits, including Medicaid insurance or purchase of health benefit plans through the federal or state health benefit exchange. Conducts public education activities to raise awareness about Consumer Assistance programs, including coverage options available under Medicaid, Kentucky Children’s Health Insurance Program (KCHIP), and the federal or state health benefit exchange.
Responsibilities of this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months of working experience assisting individuals in the completion of applications by paper and/or electronically.
Must complete the required Medicaid, health insurance, and consumer assistance training and certification within six months of hire, in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
Must complete all ongoing required federal and state continuing education consumer assistance training.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted as determined applicable by Civil Service.
