Learn about the 1115 Medicaid Waiver
Do you have Passport, Aetna Better Health of Kentucky, Humana CareSource, WellCare of Kentucky, or Anthem? These are Medicaid Plans and changes may be happening to the program soon.
The State of Kentucky has applied for an 1115 Waiver to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) to make changes to the state’s Medicaid program. The changes proposed include premiums, lock-out periods, the loss of vision and dental coverage, and requirements for work or volunteering. Click here to view an overview of the proposed changes.
Kentucky Voices for Health will be hosting community forums across the Commonwealth during the 30-day federal comment period for Governor Bevin’s proposed changes to Kentucky’s Medicaid program. Each event will feature a brief presentation about the proposed changes and an opportunity for the public to voice your questions and concerns about the Medicaid waiver.
